Brand Worlds
One of the many tasks that are an inherent part of building a business is to look ahead whilst not neglecting current affairs. The Future is pretty much anything a company consists of today too – be it production, sales, product development or marketing.
As for the latter, there’s always a looming relaunch ahead. The younger the company, the more radical a relaunch can be. One visual world I find particularly appealing is that of a simple, Jetsons-like two-dimensional, cartoon universe. It evokes a sympathetic familiarity which could be attributed to childhood “lecture”, in my case Tintin or Asterix – or the jetsons on telly.

I’m continously hunting for inspiration for an eventual relaunch. This advert reminded me of a viable alternative, as it were. Let’s wait and see.
Nice
These tracks aren’t too bad.
How important are you?
I’ve had a recent surge in E-Mails marked as “important”. Some people send most of their mails as “important”. The fact that, after many years, I’ve even remembered that this option is available seems to indicate there must be some sort of genetically modified filter in my brain.
In fact, I don’t remember the last time I’ve sent something “important” – probably when I replied to an important mail, the reply itself by default becoming important. Anyway, I leave it to others to decide what is important and what not.
The Winter that wasn’t
Taken January 27 in Woody Bay, Isle of Wight. Stood there for about an hour in a t-shirt. Winter? Wazzat?

Melby
This is Melby’s little corner on the Web. Perhaps, in many years, I’ll unearth this post and remember our little “shadow” of eleven years who passed away today.
