Movlogging itself is quite simple: you shoot a video, upload it to a site like YouTube and that site posts it to your blog. Neat. Now, wouldn't it be fantastic if you had the option, before upoading, to add an intro and outro graphic? Ie import a graphic to your mobile, like your logo, or blog URL, and that graphic would be automatically added to your video before getting uploaded. Neat.

BenQ have announced that they will discontinue their German venture in mobile phones, which they purchased from Siemens roughly a year ago.

Perhaps the odd Syzygyite will remember the days in 1999 when we were handling the Siemens "Be Inspired" account, building and managing sites such as the one for the C25 model.

In those days, Be Inspired was a truly inspired slogan, and the C25 definitely rocked. It was one of the first phones driving the transition from a communication medium to lifestyle accessory. It really felt like everything was possible then for Siemens: Nokia was more sober than today, Ericsson certainly was.

Somehow Siemens managed to fail, a thing that seemed difficult then. For some reason, they stopped using "Be Inspired", then started using it again a bit later, but not quite as much as before.

The models certainly weren't inspired. I've had a S55 and a M65, and they were plain bad in comparison with other makes, particularly Nokia and Ericsson.

I do wonder at which specific moment in time they took the wrong turn. Too bad, really.

Spending too much time on your computer? Then Slunj and Plitvice in Croatia might be a good alternative to get some freah air into those little overworked grey cells of yours.

Slunj is a little town in the middle of nowhere, situated between Karkovac and Plitvice Lakes. It is very special in that it has around fifty thousand little waterfalls (random numer used by me). Water is simply coming out of everywhere, is collected in little lakes, powers some little water mills before cascading into the Slunjica river.

The water mills are quite old, but still operational. I got myself a kilo of freshly ground polenta.

Next stop were the Plitvice Lakes which are rightfully a UNESCO heritage area. This was probably the most wet experience in my life. There's water everywhere.

This image was taken from far above. The lakes are dug deeply into the ground. Basically, you walk down - along with hundreds of other tourists - ant below there are pathways either dug into the mountainside or as a wooden walkwas above the water.

It is simply stunning. There is no other word for it. Water everywhere, also from above (it was raining), rocks, caves, waterfalls, and loads of fishies hoping for a nibble of bread or two.

These 4-5 hours left me quite humbled an utterly impressed. It's easy to start thinking of the unimportance of working on a computer and the greatness of spending quality outdoor time.

For anyone interested, i've put a series of piccies up on Flickr.

So thank you Tina and Sinisa for being such great hosts!
